it is always good to return
to camp to a meal prepared by the chef.
Many hunting and fishing stories
have been told from
this table at the Howebrook Sportsman's Camp.

Howebrook is always a favorite for people to shoot wild game during the hunting season of October and November. Many deer have been taken from this neck of the woods and many more will as the deer population is slowly on the rise again in northern Maine. The last deer to hang at the camp was a 10 point, 150lb. buck taken in the fall of 1994 by one of the camp regulars, guided by the camp founder. Since then many deer have been sighted, but none shot. On the other side of the story, grouse hunting is a popular sport at Howebrook. It is not uncommon to shoot your limit on a crisp fall morning, as seen below.
